I am a Software Engineering Masters student specializing in machine learning. I joined Sunstang in the 3rd year of my undergraduate due to my interest in electric cars. As Project Manager, I strive to develop each member into the best version of themselves. My main goal is to finish manufacturing the 2020 car and compete in FSGP and ASC 2022β. I want to grow Sunstang to its maximum potential. A fun fact is that I'm not afraid of anything except for the bear in the forest.
I am a fourth year Electrical Engineering and Honours Business Administration (HBA) dual degree student. This is my fourth year on the team and I am so excited to be Operations Manager! I joined Sunstang because of my interest in the automotive and solar energy industries. I have completed three engineering internships at Ford Motor Company of Canada and hope to further my knowledge about the automotive industry and power generation! In addition I love hiking, camping, reading, and cooking!! My goals for Sunstang this year are to help develop all leads and team members into educated leaders in the community, increase member retention, establish strong brand recognition across the Western University campus, and implement multiple project management techniques into the project.
I'm in my second year of Mechatronics Systems Engineering. My goal for sunstang is to have the club more widely known among western engineers as sunstang provides an excellent opportunity to learn in a happy and supportive environment! A bit about me is that I love to dance (especially tap dancing)!
3rd year, starting HBA, varsity football linebacker. My goal is to raise more money for the sunstang team than has ever been raised.
I am a fourth year Mechanical Engineering student. I recently just finished up my 16 month internship and I'm looking forward to bring the real world knowledge i've gain to the teams at Sunstang. My goal is to make Sunstang a safe, fun and reliable place for any engineering student to go to when they're lonely or stressed. I want it to be an environment where students feel comfortable and excel in learning from one another. A fun fact about myself is that i've live in 10 cities!
I am a third year Software Engineering student. I joined Sunstang this year due to my interest and passion in renewable energy and the automotive industry. I also enjoy developing and working with software as there are many amazing possibilities that can be created through programming. As a Software Lead, I am excited to apply and further my skills, experience and leadership while working with this yearβs team. I look forward to meeting with everyone and seeing what we can achieve this year!
I am in my third year of electrical engineering and I joined sunstang for the first time last year due to my interest in renewable energy. I was drawn to the low power team because of my interest in microcontrollers and hardware design. My heavy involvement in the team last year gave me the privilege of becoming low power lead. Iβm excited to see what the team can accomplish this year.
I'm in my second year of Mechatronic Systems Engineering. I joined Sunstang as I believe in the importance of sustainable practices and am passionate about eco-conscious initiatives (plus I think itβs awesome π). My goal for Sunstang this year is to widen its reach amongst the students at Western and to get as many of my fellow peers involved as possible! I hope that I will be able to spread awareness around sustainability and itβs importance within creating a better future for ourselves. A fun fact about me is that my favourite snack is spicy dill pickles (with extra crunch π)!
Hallooo! I'm Sana, Sunstang's 21/22 High Power Electrical Lead. A little about me, I'll be going into my final year of Electrical Engineering (finally πͺ) this fall. Additionally, my goal as HP lead is to share and encourage the use of sustainable energy practices in the industry, maybe building a solar car will do the trick - we'll see (etextiles are pretty cool too) π. When I'm not in "Engineering land" you won't be able to find me as I'll hidden in a quiet nook painting until I can't no more π.
This fall I'll be going into my 4th year of Mechatronic Systems Engineering, I'll be leading the dynamics team dealing with suspension, brakes, and steering of the vehicle. During my time as lead I plan to expand our team's scope of material selection by constructing suspension and steering components out of carbon fiber! A fun fact about myself is that I first learned how to read upside-down and to this day I actually write at a 90 degree angle.
